Centennial real estate agents cover a long, built-out Arapahoe County city where resale homes make up most of the supply. Centennial stretches from SouthGlenn and the High Line Canal on the west, through the Dry Creek and I-25 corridor near the Denver Tech Center, to Piney Creek, Smoky Hill and E-470 on the east. The city name alone tells you little about the daily drive.
Each side asks different questions. West Centennial neighborhoods such as Cherry Knolls and Heritage Village have enough age that renovation history matters as much as the build year. The central I-25 area, with Willow Creek, Foxridge and Walnut Hills, looks convenient to DTC and rail on a map, but the first mile from the house decides that. East of Parker Road, later-era planned communities and E-470 tolls enter the monthly budget.
Centennial has civic anchors rather than one old downtown: The Streets at SouthGlenn, Centennial Center Park, Cherry Creek State Park on the north edge with its 880-acre reservoir, and Wings Over the Rockies at Centennial Airport. Water and sewer providers and HOA or civic-association structures can change from one address to the next, so agents verify them home by home.
Centennial has six PadLeaders members. Jim Diaz is Centennial-based and covers Aurora and Arapahoe County with a plan, the numbers and straight answers; Alicia Kounalis, licensed since 2015, uses her brand-ambassador background to make listings stand out; Brian Lee Burke and Michael Barnes work the south-metro edge; Damon L. Chavez handles divorce-related sales and appraiser-style pricing; and Richelle Dumas coordinates files for agents. Typical questions: roof and window age on established west-side homes, HOA rules, which water district serves a home, and E-470 toll costs.
The Dry Creek and I-25 corridor is closest on a map, but a Centennial agent should time the trip from the driveway. West-side homes may route through University or Broadway, and east-side homes start far from I-25.
Very few. The city is largely built out, so most choices are resale homes. That makes inspection findings, roof age and updates central to price.
No. Some neighborhoods have mandatory HOAs, others have voluntary civic associations, and some have neither. Ask your agent for the documents that apply to the address.
It depends on how often you use it. Kenna's guide suggests putting the toll into the monthly routine before choosing a home far east.
Damon L. Chavez is a Certified Real Estate Divorce Specialist and serves Centennial.
