Real estate agent website tools in 2026 fall into five groups: one-page sites, hosted template sites, IDX lead platforms, custom WordPress builds, and the CRM and AI tools that sit behind them. What an agent needs depends on two questions: do you publish local content every week, and do you want buyers searching listings on your own domain? This answer explains each group, the published prices we found, and how to choose without overpaying.
We run full sites and one-page sites for our own group, The Kenna Group at Keller Williams DTC, and we built PadLeaders Pad Pages, so we have a stake in this. The prices below come from vendor pages and reviews with dates. Our opinions are labeled. Prices change, so get a written quote.
Start with what your visitors use
On our group's main site, 72 percent of Google clicks in October 2026 came from phones. Google finished moving all sites to mobile-first indexing in 2023, so the phone version of your site is the version Google reads. The National Association of REALTORS 2025 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers reports that 88 percent of buyers used an agent or broker. They are going to hire someone. Your site's job is to make them call you.
Before they call, they check five things: are you licensed, do you work their area, do others trust you, do you know the market, and how do they reach you. Any tool you pick has to make those five things fast on a phone.
1. One-page agent sites
What it is: a single phone-first page with your photo, name, city, brokerage, reviews, a few current market numbers, lead forms and tap-to-call.
Good for: new agents, solo agents, and agents who already have a brokerage site and want a page they control.
Cost: PadLeaders lists a free directory listing and a Pad Page™ at $299 to $799 a year by market (October 2026). Link-in-bio tools cost less and do less: no schema, no market data, no lead routing.
Watch for: whether the page carries RealEstateAgent and FAQPage schema, whether numbers update, and whether forms reach your CRM.
2. Hosted template sites
What it is: a site builder made for agents. You pick a template, add pages and connect IDX for an added fee.
Cost: a 2026 review by Luxury Presence put Placester's entry plan at about $59 a month, about $84 with IDX, and up to about $154 a month for a premium tier with IDX. The same review said IDX costs about $25 a month per MLS, added to the base plan.
Watch for: templates where hundreds of agents share the same city text. Copied pages give Google and AI assistants nothing to cite.
3. IDX lead platforms
What it is: a site built around listing search, with registration prompts that turn visitors into leads and a CRM attached.
Cost: third-party reviews in 2026 put Real Geeks between $299 and $399 a month, with setup fees reported from $250 to $500. A Luxury Presence review cited iHomefinder's own plan FAQ for entry pricing of $169 a month. Showcase IDX was reported with a lower-tier plan near $95 a month. A 2026 cost guide put MLS access fees paid to your local board at $30 to $100 a month, separate from the platform.
Good for: agents and teams that buy online leads and want buyers to register on their own domain.
Watch for: contracts with long minimums, and whether you keep your leads and domain if you leave.
4. Custom and WordPress builds
What it is: a site you own, built on WordPress or a custom stack, with an IDX plugin if you want one.
Cost: a 2026 cost guide estimated a WordPress build with a single-agent IDX plugin at $3,000 to $5,500. High-end custom agencies such as Agent Image quote from about $2,500 to $25,000 or more for setup in 2026 pricing reviews. PadLeaders' own full WordPress site is listed at $2,500 for about 20 pages or $5,000 for 50 or more, plus $149 a month for care and hosting (October 2026).
Good for: agents and teams who publish city pages, market reports and guides every week. Our group's main site earned about 11,700 Google clicks in the 28 days before October 18, 2026, nearly all from those pages.
Watch for: who updates it. A 50-page site with year-old numbers loses to a one-page site with today's.
5. The tools behind the site
- CRM: where every form lands. Follow Up Boss was listed at $69 per user per month in a July 2026 review by CloudTalk. All-in-one lead platforms such as CINC run far higher, about $899 a month for a solo plan before ads, per a 2026 review.
- Pricing tools: Cloud CMA was listed at $49 a month (Capterra, 2026). RPR is free with NAR membership.
- Past-client tools: Homebot listed $25 to $100 a month plus setup on its pricing page in October 2026.
- AI assistants: Anthropic listed Claude Pro at $20 a month billed monthly in 2025. Claude Code, which can audit and edit your site's files with your approval, is included with paid plans.
What every option needs, no matter the price
- Your name, city and "real estate agent" in the first 100 words.
- Your brokerage name with your name and any team name. In Colorado, Commission Rule 6.10 requires it in advertising.
- Tap-to-call and tap-to-text on the first screen of a phone.
- Current local numbers with the date shown.
- RealEstateAgent and FAQPage schema that match the page.
- Forms that land in your CRM with a tag, and someone who replies fast. In our experience, leads who get three or more calls convert far more often than leads who get one or two.2 times the rate of leads that got zero to two calls.
- A robots.txt that lets search and AI search crawlers read the site.
- The Equal Housing Opportunity logo or statement.
How to choose in four questions
- Will you publish local content every week? Yes: a full site. No: a one-page site.
- Do you buy online leads and need buyers to register? Yes: an IDX platform. No: skip IDX for now.
- Do you already have a brokerage site? Add a page you control and link the two.
- What is your all-in monthly cost? Add platform, IDX, MLS board fee, CRM and ads before you compare.
A Pad Page can be an agent's whole web presence or a strong addition to an existing site. Each one states the agent's name, city and brokerage in the first lines, carries schema that matches the page, and shows live local numbers where the agent's MLS data allows it. It can help you get found. It is not a promise of placement in any search engine.

How much does a real estate agent website cost in 2026?
Published prices run from about $50 a month for a hosted template site to $300 to $400 a month for an IDX lead platform, and from a few thousand dollars to $25,000 or more for a custom build. MLS and IDX fees are often extra.
Do I need IDX on my website?
Only if you want buyers to search listings and register on your own domain. IDX adds a monthly fee and MLS rules. Many agents send buyers to a search on their brokerage site and use their own page for trust and lead capture.
Which website tool should a new agent start with?
One phone-first page that states your name, city and brokerage, shows reviews and current local numbers, and makes calling or texting one tap away. Add a full site when you have content to publish every week.
Are these prices exact?
No. They come from vendor pages and third-party reviews dated 2026, and vendors change prices. Get a written quote, including setup, MLS and IDX fees, before you sign.
